Do I Need AC Repair?
Some problems with your HVAC system are more obvious like when your system starts blowing warm air or stops working completely. At that point you know you need a repair. Some issues are less apparent without the trained eyes of a HVACR professional. In order to determine whether your home or business requires AC repair, there are several warning signs you should be aware of. Understanding these signs could save you money in the long run by having minor issues fixed before they become major issues. The best way to make sure your system is in good working order is to keep it clean and maintained.

You may notice the air coming out of your supply vents is no longer as cold as it used to be. There are several causes with the most common being a dirty filter, low refrigerant levels and a failing compressor.
What Is the Noises coming from My System?
Have you noticed loud noises such as grinding, banging or squealing coming from your unit? If you have this could be an indication of mechanical damage that could lead to your unit failing.
Should I Worry About Water Leaks?
Condensation is normal for any air conditioning unit. Discovering a leak by finding water where it shouldn’t be though is a different story. Since a leak no matter how big or small can cause significant damage to your home by flooding an area, creating mold or mildew and causing corrosion or rust in your system you should call someone for repair immediately.
Should I Worry About Uncommon odors?
If you have an odor like propane, moldy, musty or a burnt smell you should schedule an appointment with a HVAC repair tech. You could have burnt wires or a fungal growth in your system. If you smell propane our techs are Missouri Gas & Propane Certified and you will need immediate service for the safety of you and your home.
Why Does My AC Have Poor Air Flow?
Is your Air Conditioning system putting out a lower volume of air than normal? Is it causing your home or business to not keep cool? 99% of the time this is caused by a dirty filter. It could also indicate you have a failing blower motor, damaged ductwork or dirty coils. Either way, once you notice this and your filter has been replaced if you still have issues you should consult with a HVAC contractor to resolve this issue.
